Aurora Jo Seldon was born a week overdue via c-section after a long, stressful labor that caused Aurora to expel meconium (baby’s 1st poop which is really sticky) and then gasp while still in-utero. This gasp caused the meconium to enter Aurora’s lungs. This is called Meconium Aspiration Syndrome (MAS). MAS put Aurora into respiratory distress and she had to be transferred to Akron Childrens hospital. As soon as the Akron Childrens Ambulance arrived they had to intubate Aurora because she wasn’t able breath on her own.

Aurora has now been at Akron Childrens since September 4th, 2022. And although she has made leaps and bounds, for which we praise God and the hospital team, the bills are starting to roll in.

Auroras parents were blessed to stay with her and sleep at the Ronald McDonald house but that has also lead to lost wages.

The $23,000 is strictly medical. $6500 co-pay for each Aurora and Abby. Then Dominyk told me the ambulance ride was $10,000!!
