“Life Saving Help For Lisa Carlson!”

Lisa is not good at asking for help so I will do it for her!
Here is her story.
Not so long ago I was a healthy able bodied individual who loved to go to concerts,road trips and just explore and loved life. Of course I had a few aches and pains that come along with maturity like we all get.
A few years ago I was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect where my heart is leaking fluid into my chest cavity and they were unable to do the ablation due to the location being too close to a main artery which, explained the chronic edema I would get in my legs but anyone that knows me knew I didn’t even let that stop me! I carried on continuing to work a full time job and living life to the fullest I could.
Then a virus attacked my heart further exacerbating my already limited functioning heart and at the end of October 2018 after giving my employer a 1 month notice even though I was in a chronic state of congestive heart failure I could no longer work!
My heart is only pumping somewhere between 28% and 30% on any given day causing the chronic lymphedema in my legs to get so very bad I could no longer even bend them at the knee to get my feet which felt like they were on fire underneath me.
I have chronic systolic heart failure I filed for disability in November of 2018 and recently got the denial. I could wait no longer and landed in the hospital for a week long stay where they took over 20 lbs of fluid out of my body. The doctors say I was on the verge of literally drowning in my own bodily fluids.
I have been told there is nothing medically they can do for me other than to treat the symptoms of my failing heart. I have applied for an appeal for my ssdi based on my new evidence. I at this point can not even wear shoes from one day to the next.
Anyone who knows me is aware that I have always been there when others needed help but now I need help. I would not ask but I am at risk of losing everything over these mounting medical costs and need to survive until my appeal is decided.
I have used my entire 401 k and tax refund to survive until now.
My resources are exhausted. I have no insurance and do not qualify for medicade or the “affordable care act” I have to pay out of pocket for the medication that keeps my heart somewhat in rhythm and keep the fluid from building up to the point I need hospitalization again.
Some of my friends have helped all they can and have asked for me to set this up so they could potentially help. Amber and her husband John continue to help me with day to day tasks I am no longer able to do where they can.
So please I at this point will take any help you can give even if it’s just $5 all those add up in the grand scheme of things. If you can not help out financially please do me a favor and share my link to your friends and family who might be able to spare even a few dollars. #StayHumbleAndKind
