Apologies for the awful post but the police are looking for any information.

There is a homeless man called Dave who lives in a tent at the Shallows Saltford. He has been there on / off for a few years now - he isn’t a raging alcoholic or druggie as some people may assume- he is clean, respectful and just down on his luck.

And yet some evil people last Sunday have actually burned down his tent with all his belongings in it- even sentimental photos.

Dave never wants or asks for charity but justice for the nasty perpetrators needs to be had - in the proper channels.

If anyone has information or hears anything (as scumbags like this actually boast about their actions) please can you forward to the police.

Can I just say what a lovely and compassionate response from people on here- it has restored myself in humanity somewhat.

Sorry if I’ve not replied to everyone- at work atm. As I said before Dave isn’t really the ‘imposing on you’ type and feels a bit embarrassed by very kind charitable donations but he is mostly down at the Shallows if you want to offer kind words and thoughts.
