Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge 10th july

Help Us Raise money for The Matthew Project by conquering, The Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge, 24 miles of continuous trekking with a total ascent of 1585 metres, it's going to be demanding both physically and mentally as we attempt the same distance of the marathon, but up mountains.

Hello, my name is Richard Walsh. On the 10th of July 2023, I, along with a group of friends ( Fi, Mick, Drew, Roger W, Sandra, Tim, Pete and Roger) am taking on the challenge of the Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge to raise money for the Matthew Project drug and alcohol charity. This charity is very close to my heart as I joined the Matthew Project after the COVID lockdown to get help with a 27-year struggle with drug addiction that started when I was just thirteen years old.

Thanks to the help and support provided by the Matthew Project, I have been able to turn my life around and am now studying for a photography degree. Additionally, I have also started volunteering at homeless charities that helped me when I was homeless myself. The Matthew Project is a charity that relies heavily on donations to keep going and to help people like me turn their lives around.

The Yorkshire 3 Peak Challenge will take place at the beginning of July, and our goal is to raise £1500, which is what it costs The Matthew Project to put a person through the next steps programme, the course which helped not only turn my life around but saved my life. We are asking for your help to support this important cause. Your donation will go a long way in helping others like me who are struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
