Bring Tyler home

It is with deep sadness and the heaviest heart that I write these words. Today the sun is shining a little less brightly as we collectively mourn the loss of a true legend, Tyler Kennedy. Tyler was loved beyond words by all those who crossed his path and he touched the lives of so many. He had a smile that would light up a room, an adventurous and fearless spirit and the most humble, kind, huge heart.

On Wednesday evening Tyler was devastatingly taken from those who loved him, while on the trip of a lifetime in Bali. He has left a hole in our hearts that will never be replaced. Tyler will be forever loved and missed by everyone that had the privilege of knowing him. How blessed we are to have been able to call him a son, brother, uncle, nephew, loved one, mate.

We want him home as soon as possible so that we can lay him to rest and provide him with the send off he truly deserves. Unfortunately this comes with a huge financial burden, approximately $60,000. Whilst this seems like a huge amount, I know that the love and support Tyler has behind him stretches far beyond the Sunshine Coast and together we’ll do our best to reach this goal.

It’s people like Tyler who make life colourful and worth living. He really was a person who, once you’d met, was impossible to forget. Not one wave will be ridden, nor beer be drank, fish be caught, or swag be rolled out without reliving a memory of Tyler that will make your heart smile.
