Family Affected By Hurricane Irma

My name is Denise Hodge. I was born in Anguilla, British West Indies and raised in St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. I came to New York on September 12, 1976. My mom, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other familly members reside in St. Maarten, Anguilla and St. Thomas. In the photo, my mom is wearing the blue top, my sister in Anguilla is wearing white, my sister in St. Martin(French side) is in purple and my sister in St. Thomas is on the right, wearing the dark blue dress. As you know, hurricane Irma devastated these islands. My mom and sister were affected in St. Maarten(mom lives on the Dutch side and my sister on the French side). My sister in St. Thomas lost everything in her apartment and one sister in Anguilla was also affected. They are all alive, thank God and are now faced with the devastation of having to survive day to day and replace and rebuild. I am in sporadic touch with my family and they are under curfew and trying to protect what little they have because there is lots of stealing on the island. A truck with food and water is provided daily but my sister explains that it is a struggle due to lots of fighting for these necessities. I am reaching out to you for your support so that I can help them on their road to recovery.
