You are being invited to give to this campaign because you know and love the Farkas-McGinn family or you are connected to someone else who does. Katherine, Andy, Ena, Juno, and Lyra are a dear, close-knit family who live and grow together in West Asheville. Katherine and Andy are talented artists and wonderful parents who are living modestly while homeschooling their three daughters. 

Lyra is 3-years old and she has recently been diagnosed with pediatric T cell lymphoblastic lymphoma, a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She has already begun chemotherapy treatment which will likely take place in three stages over a period of 2.5 years.


We are all going to help Lyra and the Farkas-McGinn family through this challenging time in many different ways, starting with making a financial contribution. During this treatment period, this family will have significant medical expenses, an increased general cost-of-living and a severely diminished capacity to generate income. 

Please make a donation now at whatever level you can manage. You are helping reach this initial goal for funds to be used immediately for Lyra's health insurance deductible and to provide for additional healthcare not covered by insurance. 

Ongoing funds will soon be raised to help Lyra and her family maintain a lifestyle that supports wellness during this very long healing journey and to cover health insurance deductibles during at least the next two years of treatment.
