We are fundraising on behalf of Maya Romero, a dear friend who is currently battling leukemia. Those of you who know Maya know just how special she is. She has been making our lives brighter for as long as we have known her and we are beyond thankful. Any and all contributions to help Maya continue this fight will be so greatly appreciated.

From Maya's family:

As some of you may know, Maya had emergency brain surgery on October 29th for a brain bleed and a subsequent diagnosis of leukemia. She is a warrior and has made miraculous progress since her brain surgery. She had a second brain surgery to put in a port to assist with chemotherapy and again has worked hard to gain back her strength. She started daily chemo on October 30th and has been tolerating the infusions pretty well with some nausea and headaches. After 70 days in the hospital she was discharged this week and will begin outpatient therapy in a week. Her life has truly been upended but she is handling it with grace and humor. Any funds raised will be to offset unplanned expenses since she has been unable to work since her surgery. Thank you all for your prayers and support and we will update you on her progress.
