Unfortunately, due to rising costs and because the funds needed were not reached by Thursday, we are unable to extend the arrangements any further. It has now been two weeks, and after much thought and careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to proceed with cremation, without a viewing or formal service.

This decision was made by those who have been actively handling all arrangements during this difficult time, in accordance with his daughter’s wishes. We kindly ask that this choice be respected.

We are still planning to hold a celebration of life on or near his birthday, where family and friends can come together to honor and remember him. We also plan to place his ashes in a final resting place, where he can be laid to rest with love and dignity.

Some of the funds raised will be used to cover the cost of his cremation. We will either keep this GoFundMe open as we move forward with his placement and cemetery arrangements.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, or supported us in any way. My mom, my niece, and I are truly grateful for your kindness during this incredibly difficult time.

As a family, we are doing everything we can to honor his memory and give him the dignified farewell he deserves. We are asking for support to help with funeral expenses and any remaining arrangements during this difficult time.
