SEND POOR IFUGAOS TO COLLEGE
Donation protected
In 2011, the Ifugao Association of Canada, comprising of Filipinos from one of the poorest provinces of the Philippines who are residing in Canada, contributed and raised about C$15000 . This amount was intended and used as scholarship fund for high school graduates from the poorest of the poor Ifugao families who excel in their studies but would have no chance to pursue college/university degrees due to poverty. The Association entered into a Memorandum of Agreement with the Commission of Higher Education-CAR in the Philippines. The agency recommended possible scholars and admininstered the fund. 2 Ifugaos, Myline Cayong and Gertrude Dulnuan, were chosen. Myline graduated from Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology. Getrude graduated from Bachelor in Accountancy. We are very confident that Myline and Gertude will help their respective families. In 2017, we raised about $6000. For this amount, we chose 4 students from the Ifugao State University to receive Pph 15,000/school-year for 4 years in educational assistance. These 4 students were chosen from almost 20 applicants based on family income, grades, family size, etc. They are:Chally Kate Bahiwag (Tinoc), Bulkman Smith Bahatan Manzano (Lagawe), Darlyn Hinoplan Bumidang (Lamut) and Ivy Rose Umila (Alfonso Lista). WE ARE NOW RESUMING THE CAMPAIGN TO RASISE FUNDS FOR THE NEXT BATCH. Please DONATE to this campaign. Please also share this gofundme link to as many of your friends. THANKS A LOT!
