The Big shave

My name is Ollie Henchy. I have been growing my hair 25 years this year. I decided to start growing my hair when I was 17 years of age in memory of my brother Séan whom died the year before I was born in 1975.
Séan was 12 years of age when he died in a tragic accident. My mother, father, brother and 2 sisters would keep his memory alive with great stories of him and how much he loved Gaelic football and hurling. He was also a great worker and helped many a neighbour and farmer.
My mother always had a great photo of Séan on top of the fridge and a candle would always be lit in front of him. In this photo Séan had long hair just past his shoulders and I grew up seeing his great smile and long hair. Never knowing Séan, I decided in my own way to grow my hair to copy my big brother.
This year I decided after 25 years of growing my hair to cut it for the Laura Lynn foundation which is an amazing cause to help terminally ill children and their families. Laura Lynn receives no government funding and rely's on donations.
Please donate whatever you can no matter how small, it will all help towards such a remarkable organisation to help families to make such a hard time a little more special.
Many thanks
Ollie
