A few days ago, Charlie went into the emergency room to be seen for stomach pain, and he never expected the news he would receive. The doctors told him he has late-stage leukemia known as CML, and he needs to start treatment immediately for a chance to beat it.

If you know Charlie, you know that he has the biggest heart. He loves people so much and would do anything to help a stranger. He’s so smart and mentally disciplined, and his perspective on life is unique. The faith he exudes is inspiring to anyone who spends more than 2 minutes talking to him.

Being told you have cancer, let alone an aggressive cancer, is scary and life-changing. Charlie was living in Florida when he was diagnosed, but he knew right away he needed to go back to New Jersey, leaving behind his new career and home, to be around his mother while he fights to live.

Financially, Charlie needs support, and that’s why we decided to make a GoFundMe for him. He has recently had some major financial setbacks that seem too cruel to be true. He is very ill and needs to focus on treatment with his doctors and allow his body time to rest and recover. He cannot work, and that is a huge burden that he shouldn’t have to carry while going through such a hardship.
