Help Jermaine fight Cancer

Jermaine has recently received some devastating news, not only for himself but also for his friends, family, and most importantly his children.

Rum, as he prefers to be called, is facing a diagnosis of spinal fractures, sciatica, loss of motor control in his left arm (he’s a southpaw by the way) and the worst of all Bone Cancer.

Jermaine Carter, born in the Bronx, NY, where his mother raised him and his younger brother until the age of 5 when she moved them to Inglewood, Ca.

Jermaine has many faces each making a difference in the world, and all the while he is keeping on a strong right one now.

Rum is a rapper, who during the years of 1993-1994 was a part of Death Row records and shared a booth with Tupac. He has also shared a stage with Ice T & Dilated Peoples to name just a couple.

Rum is a community activist who spends his time trying to bridge the gaps between the gangs in LA and nationally in the US (through the Blood TransRUsion project) to stop the bloodshed and unite the black community, having seen the devastation that gang violence can cause first hand.

 Rum is a photographer and videographer who uses his talents to further his Blood TranRUsion project amongst other things.

Rum is an amazing friend, a groomsman at my wedding, who is there whenever anyone calls no matter the circumstances.

Most importantly Jermaine is a great father whose love for his children outweighs anything else that he has put his energy into...

When it comes to his kids Jermaine is selfless and does as much as possible to ensure that they get the best in life, whether it is love, care, opportunities, support or anything material.. however right now the material does not matter if those non tangible things are at risk..

Most people have experienced a friend or family member going through cancer and understand the devastating emotional, physical and financial effects it can have.

We would appreciate any financial support possible to help reduce the outside burdens on the family so that they can process the physical and emotional tolls that they are experiencing during this time. 

We are looking for support to help Jermaine go through treatment and most importantly recovery from this horrible disease but also to help his family be able to be with him and support him during this long journey that he has ahead of him.
The family would also like to purchase transportation to be able to take Rum to his medical appointments but also to take him out of the house where he is currently stuck 99% of the time due to the impact of his disease and how it has taken away so much of his mobility.

As so many people have been influenced by him, either directly or indirectly, we are requesting for you to give him some of the support that he has given to so many people through the years.

All proceeds will go to the Carter family directly.
