Help Mary Kick Cancer in the Butt!

Every once and a while in life, you meet someone who absolutely amazes you!  You can tell from the moment you meet them they are a kind soul.  A person who will impact your life for the better, forever.
This is my friend Mary!

Overcoming many obstacles in her life including poverty, homelessness, family dysfunction and addiction, she has fought hard to break the cycle of these things. She has fought hard to create a safe, loving, nurturing, stable home for her family.  She has fought hard to find a job that she loves and brings her fulfillment.  She has fought hard to be a woman with great faith and grace.  I believe this faith is her compass for all life’s Ups & Downs.  She is a dedicated wife and loving mother to 3 littles and 3 bigg’ns.  She is a warrior for Justice and always stands up for what she believes in.  Her heart is so big, she is constantly doing for others.  She is someone who will give a stranger the shirt off her back if she thought they needed it more than she did.

Up until 7 months ago, The Knight family were living a quiet, normal, busy life.  Until one day Mary noticed a lump in her groin.  This lump led to months of Doctor appointments with many unanswered questions and growing health concerns.  It was only about a month ago did she learn she has colorectal cancer.  The same cancer that claimed the life of her Mother and Grandmother.

While this was devastating news to receive, Mary’s thoughts and energy are still focused on how she can make things easier for her family to accept, and manage all the changes, that this diagnosis brings to their lives.

As you can probably imagine, the Oncologist has been swift in getting her proper treatments and managing her pain.  Because of this, Mary’s physical abilities are limited and her work abilities have been greatly reduced.  Her husband Sean has taken over as caregiver for both her and the children.  Because of this, and needing to be available when Mary has had to be hospitalized, he was recently let go at his place of employment.  This has placed a huge financial strain on this couple who are not only fighting for Mary’s life but to also keep their family safe and a roof over their heads.

This is why I have started a GO FUND ME account for Mary and the Knight family.  Mary has given of herself and her resources to help so many others in her life, I believe it’s her turn.  Her turn to be the one receiving the Blessing!  Their immediate needs are monetary.  Funds will allow them to pay medical bills, rent, utilities and buy food.

There are other needs.  Sean would like to find employment that will be more flexible with his schedule.  He is a dry-wall guy by trade with many years of experience and is eager to find work.  Prepared dinners for the family to eat while she is going through chemo treatments would also be a huge help.

I am praying you will want to be part of a community who are willing to step up and help the Knight family during this difficult time of health crisis.  Your prayers, cards of encouragement, monetary donations, prepared meals are APPRECIATED!
THANK YOU for taking the time to read this and for your support of my friend, Mary!
