Support Tyler's Recovery

Dear friends,

Many of you may have heard, our beloved Tyler has been in the hospital the past three weeks with a series of health complications. We are grateful for any help you can offer to defray the costs of medical bills, medications, hotel stays, and general costs while Tyler is unable to work.

ABOUT TYLER’S JOURNEY

Tyler went to the ER with a fever and vomiting on 2/19 and learned he had a bacterial infection in his blood (sepsis) that had reached his heart (endocarditis). He was transferred by ambulance to Lahey Hospital in Burlington, MA so he could be under the care of his (fantastic!!) Hypertrophic Cardio Myopathy team there, who operated to extract his ICD (Implanted Cardiac Device) and leads. All the same, the endocarditis resulted in a series of additional issues, including polyarthralgia, vasculitis, pneumonia, and two small strokes.

We are relieved to have him home and on the long path to recovery. These next few weeks Tyler will be on an IV antibiotic and over the next months he will meet with home-care nurses and physical and occupational therapists while he regains strength.

We have been touched by the outpouring of support from family, friends, colleagues, and neighbors. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us care for Tyler and giving him the best chance at a full recovery.
