  The purpose of Custer Institute is to promote curiosity in the scientific field of astronomy by providing visitors the opportunity to view celestial objects through our many telescopes with the guidance of our volunteer astronomers. In addition, Custer provides educational and cultural opportunities to benefit the broader community.  

  Your donations will help us keep the building structurally sound and well-maintained to fulfill our non-profit mission. We will use your gifts to restore the central telescope dome and provide funding for general building restorations, as parts of the building are nearly a century in age.
