Homeless Veteran needs help
Tax deductible
Southern California Newfoundland Rescue Corporation is trying to help a homeless veteran keep his dogs. He wants to keep his two Newfoundlands, but cannot work while he is housed in his car. We are trying to help him board his dogs for a month. There are programs for homeless veterans' pets, but it takes time for the paperwork to come through. We are hoping to buy him some time so he can enroll in a veteran's foster care program.
Southern California Rescue has had an increase in permanent fosters and Newfoundland turn-ins. Our Rescues need veterinary care. We don't want a person to have to give up his dogs, but we have neither the foster homes to take care of the veteran's dogs nor the resources to board his dogs. We would appreciate any amount so we can help a veteran keep his dogs.
