My car was burned down

Hello everyone, I’m sorry to report that the legendary 1998 Toyota Corolla has been burned to the ground.
I went camping at the Tikwalus Heritage Trail and parked by the trailhead at 10 AM on Saturday, October 7th 2023, and came back 2 PM on Sunday the 8th and found my car had been reduced to ashes.
I’m not sure what happened. The police got a call about the car being on fire at 9 PM on Saturday so either something overheated in the afternoon and burned through the evening, or maybe it was vandalized in the dark. Either way the entire car was torched to the ground and I now have no car.
I only had the most basic insurance so I’m out of luck and have to pay for it to get towed to the junkyard. BCAA didn’t want to tow it because it was too far gone. I’m not sure yet how much I’ll get billed for the towing but I’m expecting it to be a few hundred bucks.
I didn’t have anything too valuable in the car but my friend had their house keys melted down so they had to spend $265 on a locksmith to get home. I’d like to cover that since it wasn’t their fault they got locked out.
I’m lucky to have great friends like Shahriar who drove the whole evening to pick me up in Hope. I would like to repay him in some way even though he keeps refusing it.
I don’t want to ask for too much since it was an old car and I only lost a few small things. I’m grateful that nothing worse happened and I’ll appreciate any help I can get. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
