Help Essex mechanic Johnnie Carey replace stolen toolbox.

Donation protected
Johnnie Carey, of Johnnie’s Custom Motors based in Harlow Essex, had his private lock-up site brutally smashed into by thieves on the night of Monday 10th June. They destroyed the vehicles on-site and stole the entire selection of his tools worth approximately 3k in a 15 minute frenzied robbery.

The thieves callously broke windows on all vehicles and sprayed the inside of one with a fire extinguisher before ripping the toolbox out. This toolbox was given to him by his late mechanic father when his own son Jack Carey was born 16 years ago.

But the toolbox isn’t just of sentimental value - it is how Johnnie is able to carry out the private work on building sites, fixing plant machinery, around his jobs for Johnnies Custom Motors.

He has been effectively left without means to work.

Johnnie’s worked as a mechanic all of his life, and in the Harlow area for 5 years. He goes out of his way to help neighbouring businesses and locals, and family. His small family have lived in Bishops Stortford for over 16 years. He regularly participates and promotes motorcycle runs which fundraise for charities, as well as the Essex & Herts Air Ambulance service.

We’re now raising funds to help him purchase new tools, so he can get back to work.
Donations of any amount are gratefully received, and please raise awareness of this crime if you know anyone in the Harlow/Sawbridgeworth/Matching Green area.

Thank you so much.
