Help Jumpstart Diego’s Tennis Career
Donation protected
Hello everyone,
My name is Diego Bustamante, and I am a professional tennis player from Mexico. I’ve devoted my life to the sport I love and achieved my goal of playing professionally by age 18. However, just as my career took off, I sustained a shoulder injury that prevented me from competing for over a year. To add insult to injury, while I took the time needed to rehabilitate my shoulder, the hiatus caused me to lose my previously earned ATP points.
I am currently playing as a sparring partner for professional players in events such as Guadalajara WTA 1000, the Mexico City Open, and other Challenger events. I’m doing my best to self-fund my tennis career and living expenses, but it’s a struggle – I need to devote as much time as possible to training and playing tennis to regain the momentum I’d achieved before my injury. I often need help to raise sufficient funds for travel needs and training, which prevents me from participating in the relevant tournaments that can advance my career.
I have started this GoFundMe page to help cover my tennis-related expenses, such as travel, tournament entry fees, and training. I have worked tirelessly to become a better player and aim to continue that trend and participate in as many events as possible this year to re-establish myself in the ATP singles and doubles rankings. Your support could make a tremendous difference in helping me reach my dream and full potential as a professional tennis player.
Thank you in advance for your support and generosity!
