Christian Dyke, a senior at Vandegrift HS and on the Viper Football team, recently had a severe injury during an accident while racing at a national BMX competition. Christian spent several days in the ICU at a Houston-area hospital with internal bleeding and a punctured lung. After he stabilized he had surgery on his spleen. This accident happened just a few days after his older sister Kiersten, a 2019 VHS alum, traveled to North Carolina for a major surgery for ongoing health issues.
Parents David and Iben are managing recoveries for both of their kids while also working full time. While a meal train has been set up to help the family with food for the next several weeks, one of the family's greatest needs at the moment is housecleaning. Please join us in contributing to a cleaning service so the family can focus on getting healthy instead of chores. Any additional funds contributed will be used for their mounting medical bills and the family's travel expenses incurred during lengthy hospital stays for both Christian and Kiersten.
THANK YOU for showing your love and support to this wonderful family!
