My little girl, the youngest of 3, struggled with mental health- it seems that was amplified by childhood Medical trauma from a botched dental procedure that placed her in the the hospital for 5 weeks with osteomyelitis. Brutal .. as parents we didn’t know this would leading to to her mental health declining. We learned abruptly last Xmas day how severe the trauma and her depression had become. Social isolation contributed to her mass depression. On Xmas eve 2020- she transitioned, we found her Xmas morning .As a family. It’s been the hardest road anyone could imagine.

 

supports were offered day 1- when we called it was 6-8-10 month wait lists.

 

our family deteriorated- as we tried so hard to still be… without proper grief and trauma counselling.

 

I would like to stop this. I’d like to help families battling mental health. I see a foundation that helps others and gives our daughter’s life meaning.

 

I want to start a non profit society to help youth/people with suicidal ideologies and families dealing with completion. In my daughters honour.
