My name is Glenn Ruark and I was lucky enough to weather hurricane Harvey with minimal damage and no injuries. Many in Houston were not so lucky. Megan Murphy is a colleague and dear friend of all of us at United here in houston.
Megan awoke in the middle of the night up to her ankles in water and it was rising rapidly. She only had enough time to escape her home with her purse and her dog. Everything in her house was destroyed. She now faces extensive reconstruction efforts and replacement of every worldy possession.
Megan has had an outpouring of support from friends and colleagues as far as physical assistance, which has been invaluable. While that is an amazing showing of support, she is forced to stay in a hotel indefinitely. This expense along with incidental and food costs, is and will continue be a burden that is difficult to bear. In addition to her struggle, she is remaining strong for her parents who had almost identical catastrophic damage just 2 blocks away.
Any assistance that can be offered will be greatly appreciated. If assistance physically moving and constructing is possible, it is welcome. If that isn't possible any monetary donation would be greatly appreciated.
Every little bit helps in times like these and if you have any to spare, please donate. Thank You
