Temporary financial help

My husband Dann and I are trying to raise money to help my youngest brother who lives in Florida . My brother is one of the hardest workers I have ever seen ! Unfortunately , he is in the hospital facing back surgery and will be out of commission for 6-8 weeks . My brother is on Medicaid , and because he is a self employed painter there will be no financial resources to help his family , he has three children living at home and a partner who is on a permanent disability . Someone like my brother is so very proud , it's difficult to accept help, that's why I am reaching out.
My brother is considered the working poor , and the main source of income . People like him that suffer an injury , are a step away from being homeless . In the last two weeks I have been helping with phone calls and trying to navigate the Medicaid system  on his behalf . I am left speechless at how broken the system truly is for those in need . The good news is, he will receive his surgery tomorrow morning , but because of the long period of wait time he might have permanent nerve nerve damage . With the recovering time , which could be up to 8 weeks , he will have a very difficult time paying rent and utilities . Please keep my brother Bill Berry in your thoughts and prayers .
