My granddaughter packed her car at 20 years old and moved to Houston TX with a prospect of a job. Fast forward 3 years and many life lessons later, now 23, she has lost everything she has built in this devastating flood. With God's graces, her company had scheduled a training conference in Atlanta last weekend during the storm. Unable to go home she traveled back to Virginia to be with her family. Her puppy and car are safe however, everything from birth certificate/passport, full apartment of furniture, kitchen and bedding, clothes and shoes to food, personal products and medication are gone. Being a sales rep, her job is 100% commission with her territory being Houston, Galveston and Corpus Christi, which were the hardest hit. Kendall did not have flood insurance because she did not live in a floodplain. Since she needs to purchase all new items, any amount would be a blessing to help her re-build her life in Houston. It's difficult to give items because currently she has nowhere to live and the cost of transporting them can be expensive. May God bless you and your family; we thank you for your generosity.
