You can prepare for a storm, but when unprecedented and catastrophic flooding comes along we have no control over it. In seconds something so close to you is out of your control. Hurricane Harvey has put so many families in complete loss or close to it. It was heartbreaking witnessing not only my immediate family go through this but an entire city at loss. This one belongs to Claudia and Gabriel. They live in Scarsdale, where most houses were badly flooded. Their house received over 15 inches of flooding by the time we needed to evacuate. Their cars were also flooded in and damaged. The house will need numerous repairs from the floors, walls, AC, etc. Nonetheless, all personal items and furniture were lost. The majority of us were able to come home to minor damages and it breaks my heart that they no longer have that option. I know many have been victims of Hurricane Harvey, but I ask you to help my sister and Gabriel to help them place their lives back in order. We thank you in advance, god bless.
