On 9/10/16 God blessed the Keane family with a tiny angel. She is everything they had ever asked for and more. She is perfect in every sense, but has been fighting for her precious life. Avery came into our presence at 1.8lbs, and over 3 months early. Her tiny lungs and body have been presented with many challenges. Every day is a gift and a fight.
To date Avery has fought a massive battle and is making great strides. The accomplishments are amazing and her strong will is evident with every obsticle she has overcome. Though her fight is strong, everyday is an emotional roller-coaster among friends and family. To watch two new parents sit helpless by their baby daughters side is heart wrenching. Prayers and support is all we can do for the Keane family.
While all the doctors, specialists, treatment options, and hospital stays over the last 4 months have been amazing. They do not come without costs, and heavy ones at that. Avery needs care 24/7 and knows nothing more than her little incubator and the love from her parents eyes through the clear plastic walls of her bed.
Stephanie and Jason have been so strong, so supportive, and want nothing but the best for their child. Avery's well being is a constant balancing act. Every action has a reaction. Constant care, monitoring, consults, and teams of Doctors are involved with every second of Avery's short time on earth. Updates are posted to facebook and are so encouraging to read. You can't help but tear up looking at her little face peeking through her blankets with her big blue eyes checking out the world around her.
This campaign is to help offset all of Avery's treatments. The costs as many know are overwhelming, and the family has not even been able to process the monetary aspect. They are focused on Avery and ensuring she receives all of the love and care she needs. Beyond the immediate care, there will be followups, and home visits essential to Avery's fight.
The goal here is to continue the necessary path for Avery to finally come home where she belongs. To the the loving arms of her family and friends, the warmth of her new room, and big brother Otto!
