My name is Mohamed Essam, I am only 22 years old, and today I write these words from inside a fragile tent in Gaza a tent that has become my only shelter after losing everything.

Just a short time ago, I had dreams like any young man my age. I hoped to study, to work, to build a future, and to support my family with dignity. But the war has stolen all of that from me.

During the recent assault on Gaza, I was severely injured. The treatment I urgently need is not available here, and every day the pain grows worse. My wounds are not just physical, they are emotional too, carved deep into my soul by loss and fear.

My home, the place where my family once gathered, was reduced to rubble in an instant. Now I live in a tent that cannot protect me from the cold nights or the burning heat of the day. Each storm, each strong wind reminds me how fragile and unsafe our lives have become.

I am the only provider for my family, yet I have nothing to provide. Some of my loved ones are injured and need care. Others we lost forever beneath the rubble, their voices silenced by the bombs. I look at the faces of those who remain, especially the children, and I feel the crushing weight of responsibility, knowing I cannot give them the simplest things: a warm meal, clean water, or even medicine.

I am young, but war has aged me. At 22, I feel the exhaustion of a lifetime lived under constant fear and suffering. My only wish is to live like other young people, to dream, to work, to laugh, to rebuild a life where dignity replaces despair.

I appeal to your humanity and compassion. I am asking for your help to:

Receive urgent medical treatment for my injuries

Secure a safe place to live for myself and my family

Provide food and daily essentials so we can survive these harsh days

I do not ask for much, only the chance to live, to heal, and to rebuild what was lost.
