Hi, my name is Gena and I am raising money for Gloria who is a single mother raising a 15 year old son, and she is struggling to make ends meet. She is fiercely independent, and never asks for help. She is extremely hard-working and cares deeply for everyone in her life. She has the kindest heart and she is determined to provide a better life for her son than she had growing up. She is always picking up extra shifts at work and working second jobs as they come available. But, last year, Gloria was dealt a devastating blow – she was diagnosed with kidney failure.

No matter how determined she is, realistically Gloria can no longer work the long days she often puts in and struggles to stay healthy and functioning due to her medical condition. She is now faced with starting dialysis which will leave her with less time to put in those extra hours at work. With no one else to turn to, she is faced with an impossible situation. Gloria is desperate to find a way to take care of her family and pay for the medical care she desperately needs.
