Help Trece After the Loss of Her Husband, Keith

Our beloved Papa, Wm Keith Turpin, died suddenly from an aortic aneurysm on October 7th, 2021, leaving many of us devastated and grieving. His loving wife of nearly 35 years, Trece, whom we also adore, is now left to bear not only her grief but a large financial weight. Before his passing, the couple suffered large financial losses while making sacrifices for family members, and Trece's inability to work while caring for Keith's needs. We are asking her friends, loved ones, family, and all who feel called, to support her through this time and to ease her financial burdens until she can begin working again. Our endeavor here is to raise six month's income on Trece’s behalf. This will provide her with the necessities to cover expenses from loss of income due to his sudden death.

 

Keith was a retired U.S. Air Force Major having served in the military for 20+ years that also included his bravery in The Vietnam War. Once out of military service he continued on with his life’s work as a mental health and addiction specialist. While he did receive a monthly income from his Military Retirement benefits, that earned benefit did not extend to his wife and was immediately stopped at the time of his death, leaving Trece with a large financial loss that will quickly turn into a crisis. Additionally, due to his health condition, he was unable to obtain life insurance to help provide for her needs for when this time came.

 

Both Keith and Trece are deeply loved and adored by all who know them. As a couple and separately, they have focused on service to their community and family for their whole lives, always giving support and love to others. Keith adopted so many of us into his heart, earning the name Papa from not just his beloved granddaughters, but to the many other family members, friends and extended daughters. He always offered a warm place we could trust to hold us when we needed support or love or guidance. He was a man of rare grace and calm and hard earned wisdom. And now Trece, his wife and partner, who was at his side always, needs our help. She has been a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, employee working for many community causes, and often a caretaker to so many. She has offered so much into the world and finds herself in humble need of our support. It’s going to take her some time in her grief, finding new footing as she transitions into this new version of life, processing this devastating loss, and dealing with the mounting expenses associated with losing one’s spouse. She desperately needs a financial buffer as finding work at this time feels insurmountable for her to explore. The loss of income and relying only social security and a small savings account will not cover all monthly expenses.
