Hello everyone, I am David's daughter Juli. Here is a little bit about my father over the years.
In 2020, Dave and his family faced an unexpected loss with the passing of his beloved wife and mother Joyce. He is a dedicated father to Juli Lyn Gray and David Vincent Militello.
Dave is a lifetime member of the Williamsville Fire Company, Since 1980. After starting a family in 1988, Dave has spent 36 years behind the wheel as a truck driver, earning his prestigious Million-Mile Driving award in 2023 - a remarkable achievement in today’s world.
Pool has been Dave’s passion since his twenties, when he first picked up a cue stick with the Skulski’s Team. Over the years, his love for the game led him through Buffalo’s vibrant pool community, from South Buffalo to the North towns, being the captain of teams in leagues such as Skulski’s, Cagney’s, Porky’s, LASB, TNT on both Sunday and Monday nights, as well as the APA of WNY.
His heart for the community, extends beyond the pool table - in 2018, Dave became a lifetime member of The Imperial Court of Buffalo, supporting LGBTQ+ charities throughout the Buffalo area, inspired by his love and support for his son.
Life took an unexpected turn after Dave’s retirement when he was diagnosed with stage 1 kidney cancer, leading to the removal of his kidney in August 2023. Then, in October 2024, his family’s world was shaken again when the cancer suddenly spread to his brain, requiring emergency surgery. Through these challenging times, medical bills have continued to mount, adding financial strain to an already difficult journey.
I am asking anyone that knows David to try to help him out with a donation to his mounting medical expenses. He has helped so many people over the years that we are now asking for help. So, if you can, your help would be greatly appreciated.
