Hi, my name is Karen Marino and I am fundraising for my sister Tina and her family. When covid caused a shutdown nationwide my sisters cleaning business took a huge hit. They were not eligible for covid funds due to the nature of their business and because they owned their own home and were not renting. Her family experienced one disaster after another when she became ill from covid and is now coping with long covid which has made it difficult for her to continue her employment. Not only did she lose her job, Her family lost their house in Florida. On the way to moving north to Alabama their trucks timing broke, her medications were no longer covered by insurance and they used all money they had for temporary shelter. My sisters husband was catastrophically injured many years ago when he was electricuted at work and miraculously survived. He receives monthly disability payments, but getting them to next month and into shelter between now and the first of June is the challenge. Tina and Ben have always been there for family. It is my hope that my family can contribute a little each so we can collectively raise enough money to ensure they have someplace safe and dry to stay and they are able to get their truck repaired.
