Sebastian’s Surgery
I’m trying to raise money for our 2 year old tabby cat, Sebastian.
He stopped eating on Halloween and continued to throw up anytime we enticed him with food. His nickname is Garfield because he’s never had an issue with food, so we knew something was wrong went he completely stopped eating.
We spent the last week in and out of the vet trying to figure out what was wrong and finally after an ultra sound, found out the culprit. They found an obstruction in his stomach as well as pancreatitis.
Sebastian has to have surgery to get the foreign object removed. Before even doing the surgery we’ve spent $2000 on medical bills.
Now with surgery and everything that comes after, we had to pay an additional $4,000.
My boyfriend Ben was able to pay for it using money from his mom- who passed away last month.
I am so grateful he was able to help so we can get this taken care of immediately.
But, I plan on paying him back since he’s still grieving his mom and this is the last thing I wanted to ask of him at this time.
I figured I’d set up a GoFundMe page for anyone who wants to contribute and donate to help the cause.
Sebastian is a huge part of our lives. We found him as kittens abandoned with his brother (who went to a good home) behind a warehouse. I never thought I was a cat person, but as soon as I saw him I felt a connection to him that has only grown stronger over the 2 years I’ve known him.
His spunky confident energy is what gets me through every day. I rely on him to hop up on the bed each night before I go to bed so he can cuddle next to me and ask for loves. The way he instantly got along with our other animals and found a spot of his own makes me believe he was meant to be a part of our family.
I don’t know what I would’ve done if Ben didn’tjump in and pay for the surgery so Sebastian could be ok and survive. If you want to donate I would be incredibly and forever grateful. It doesn’t matter how little or how much.
Thank you so much.
