As most of you know, Michele has a history with “mental illness”, and she’s done fantastic for over 20 years, however starting this past May 28th, she started to have a “set back” and has been in the hospital since June 27th. She is finally on an upward mend, but has a long way to go yet. this was a major setback due to her previous doctors neglect and what we believe were her meds loosing their effectiveness. In short, her previous doctor had her “double” her medication without physically seeing her when her symptoms first started and in turn that was way too much and put her in a catatonic state that could’ve (and I was told by the ER was a day or two away from) being fatal. I have been unable to work since I got home from the road on May 28 due to caring for her at home 24/7 and now being at the hospital every day along with taking care of our pets at home, etc.
If you know me, asking for help is a very hard pill for me to swallow, but being unable to work for the last 2 months has drained every resource I had financially to keep the bills paid and have already started paying some of her medical bills, and looking forward I don’t know how long her recovery is going to take (I’ve been told it could take months) so these bills are going to be overwhelming for me.
I am usually the one who offers help whenever I can and am always there when needed, but this time I am the one needing help and it is destroying me. That being said, if you can help us out during this time I will be forever grateful to you and will try to repay in some way or some how as soon as I can. Thank you all. - Matt
Update: She is home, she was hospitalized for over a month. I’m being told recovery could take up to 6 months to fully recover. Thanks to everyone who has helped, donated, and shared. She is on the mend, but still has a long way to go.
