Help Lytton, BC Rebuild

My name is Tara Diana. Many of you reading this will know that I have a strong connection to the First Nation Communities in Lillooet. Today, I was suppose to be driving there to help a family with a loss. I would be driving through Lytton, BC right about now to get there. Instead I am here asking for your help for the Village of Lytton (Camchin), their First Nations people affected by it and the Lytton community as a whole.

Last night within a matter of minutes 90% of the Village was destroyed by fire. Lytton had hit Canada wide temperature records the last three days of 49.6 degrees! It happened so quickly there was barely time for evacuation let alone grabbing anything for the families and businesses to take with them. Evacuated to Spenses Bridge, Lillooet, Merritt - families and business owners are sitting in uncertainty as to whether they have a home or business, whether everyone managed to evacuate and possibly even scared and worried about pets they could not get to in time. Some have lost everything. The roofs over their head, prized possessions and more. Mentally, emotionally, spiritually and financially they are in need. This Go Fund Me is to help them start over. To ease a little bit of the pain they are suffering right now. To show that we stand beside them in this time of need. It is my hope that everyone that sees this will donate $10 (or more) and share to at least 5 people. The more we raise the more we can help. I truly believe that easing the financial burdens will allow them to focus on the healing of the soul. Everything from this fundraiser will go to Lytton and I will find all the right people to help me accomplish this within their Band Nlaka'pamux and the village itself. Thank you all.
