Mike’s Motorcycle Accident
Donation protected
As many of you know, I am a very stubborn man, who doesn’t like asking for help. Even with very minor things. It’s taking a lot to swallow my pride and create this, but I’m willing to admit that I need a little help. On Saturday May 18th, I went down on the motorcycle. I ended up with a couple of broken bones (major one being a collarbone), bruised ribs, and the typical cuts and bumps. I do have medical insurance but the deductible is pretty high and unfortunately some of the treatments are not “within network” on my plan. So the out of pocket expenses are continuing to rise. Also, with these injuries, I’m no longer able to work. I could potentially be out of work for up to 8 weeks. To be completely transparent, I will be receiving some compensation but only a percentage and not close to my actual income. As the sole provider for a family of 5, it’s going to be a bit rough. On top of everything else, and for unknown reasons, the insurance on the motorcycle was dropped. When we went to file the claim, there was nothing in the system. We didn’t receive any documentation stating that it had been dropped either. Had I known that, I would have never been on the bike until it was covered again. To each and every one of you who helped me that day, myself and my family greatly appreciate you. We also appreciate everyone who will continue to help me throughout the recovery process. Financially and physically.
