Fighting for Wendy
Donation protected
My precious best friend and sister, Wendy Gladden has been fighting for her life this past year. She has been fighting Lupus since diagnosed in 2016 and Bladder Cancer since February 2022.
Chemotherapy has riddled her body including her kidneys and liver. Now she has another threat to her life. Her doctor ran a CT scan last week and found something questionable in her intestines. Her Lupus has caused her blood cell counts to become dangerously low, which will result in organ failure if she doesn’t follow her Oncologist recommendations. Her next Colonoscopy is scheduled for January 2, 2023. This news has been devastating to Wendy and her immediate family. Her Oncologist recommends that Wendy remains on steroids and at least one Blood Transfusion a month until the Colonoscopy results have been reviewed.
Wendy's health insurance only provides a 25% financial relief from both procedures due to the fact they don't believe it's a cure. Wendy's Steroid treatments cost $500 weekly and just one Blood Transfusion is $2400 a treatment. Both are out of pocket expenses for Wendy just to stay alive.
No one should experience a financial burden like this at anytime, let alone around the holidays that should be spent enjoying all the joy at this time of year with our loved one's.
Wendy is the most giving, loving, and tender-hearted person anyone could ever know. She is a true blessing and deserves to just be healthy. Wendy works so hard to support her family, including her one-year-old grandson. Wendy is such a beautiful person and so strong; she just needs a little help and compassion to get her through this struggle. Wendy still faces many challenges the next few months and any sickness can be compromising to her health with her levels being so low.
Please give and share if you are able. No donation to help Wendy with her medical expenses in the next few months is too small. Wendy, her two daughter, her grandson, family, and friends would be forever grateful and very appreciative for any financial help she would receive.
I would like to wholeheartedly thank anyone that took the time to read about Wendy's current battle.
Tomorrow is NEVER promised!!
God Bless you all!!
