Recently our friend, colleague, and loved one, Brian Barber had a life-changing stroke. He has started the recovery process, but does have a long road ahead of him. The ultimate goal is for him to return to his beloved home and cat, Bugs, in Laramie, Wyoming. If you don't know Brian personally, let me tell you a bit about him. He is the Director of Science Programs at the Biodiversity Institute at the University of Wyoming. His work allows him to engage citizens in the community with science and nature. He has a true passion for the outdoors and exploration.
He is a true outdoorsmen, and according to our boys, "a real cowboy".
His education , training, and work has allowed him to travel across the globe. As such, he has friends throughout the world.
Please help support Brian in his road to recovery. Along with his sister, Rhonda Trieb, we will give updates in his progress as well as the use of the funds.
Please share this with others who would like to help support.
With gratitude,
Jenna and Peter Zalk Berendzen (long-time friends of Brian's from his PhD program at the University of Minnesota).
*Please note, David McDonald, a friend and colleague of Brian's at U of Wyoming, will be the one handling the donations. He has power of attorney, with the permission of both Rhonda and the rest of Brian's "team" to help manage finances and logistics.
