Garry Alexander Funeral
14 years ago, Garry Alexander was diagnosed with Motor Nerone Disease (MND) and was given 6 months to 2 years to live. Instead of giving up, the family rallied together and they fought to keep him alive. 9 years ago, on his death bed, a wonderful doctor (on insistence by his wife) performed a tracheotomy on him which saved his life. They lived each day as if it was his last, but never gave up the fight. They travelled around Australia with his ventilator, creating memories for his three children to have with them forever. It was tough, It was hard but it was rewarding.
Unfortunately on Friday the 30th of July, Garry lost his battle and died peacefully in his sleep. He leaves behind his wife Kylie and children Brendan (15), Tom (13) and Hayley (12). They are facing a life without the man they loved endlessly, who wanted to live more than anything else.
The financial strain of a terminally ill person being kept at home is huge and we would love to give him the send off he deserves. The family are true Aussie battlers and any support would be greatly appreciated. The funds will go directly to Kylie, which will be used for his funeral and put towards the kids future.
