Help with Legal Fees for Custody

Hello my name is Samantha and I am the proud mom of three amazing kids. I normally do not post things that are going on in my life besides pictures of my kids and some funny videos from time to time because I did not want people to know what life was really like for me.

 

For 5 years I was in an abusive relationship that shattered who I was as a person and cut me off from anyone who I used to be close with. It left with me no friends, barely ever getting to spend time with my family, and cut off from the world. Last year it reached the tipping point that I knew I needed to get out to keep my children and I safe. In September 2020 I finally got enough courage to leave after being able to successfully obtain a PFA order. I was able to start fresh and after a few months successfully relocated closer to my family. Since then, I have been embroiled in a very difficult custody battle. For nearly a year now I’ve been fighting for my two youngest children to be primarily with myself and their older sister whom I have from a previous relationship. I have had the luck of obtaining a very skilled attorney who has done an amazing job in helping me defend myself when everything but the kitchen sink has been thrown at me by the other party. With that has come some very large legal fees that I have mostly been able to pay with some help from my amazing family, but now with a custody trial entering the third phase, the fees are stacking up and I need help.

 

I am a very hardworking, independent single mother and am not one to reach out for help like this because I quite frankly feel deeply embarrassed by the entire situation. However, for those of you who know me understand how extremely important my kids are to me and I will do whatever is needed for them. For that reason alone, I am reaching out for help to assist with the legal fees associated with the custody battle I am currently undertaking.

 

Any amount would be so greatly appreciated and would help so much and will get me one step closer to keeping my children and putting this chapter of my life behind me
