I'm Cheyenne, 26 years old, and I'm fundraising for the financial impact caused by the sudden death of my mother.
On Tuesday, March 29 at 8:30 AM, my mother was found dead in her bedroom. At 8:10 AM my mom and I were talking and she told me about her wrist surgery scheduled at 9 AM that morning. Around 8:30 AM my brother noticed she wasn’t out of bed so he went to check on her. He found her lying in her bed, thinking she was in a deep sleep. He tried waking her up but she did not awaken.
We called 911 and when the medical team arrived, they pronounced her dead. My mother lost her life within those 20 minutes. She was 62 years old.
Due to financial restraints, we are opting for the cheapest possible funeral costs. An average cremation costs $1,200 and death certificates are $14 each. We're still trying to fully grasp what other bills/services must be paid, but I anticipate that we will need to pay for the 911 call dispatch and her medical bills. We would like to bring her remains to New Jersey where the rest of our family lives for a celebration-of-life event.
