The Hardest Day of Our Lives

On July 15th, 2017, my brother was involved in an accident in NYC. While the details of the accident are still mostly a mystery to my family, he was rushed to a local hospital with only his ID. Someone had taken his wallet and phone and just left him with enough to be identified. My brother fought everyday for the last 33 days. Today, he took his last breath in my father's arms. My siblings are my everything. Everyone that knows me or knows us knows that we are best friends. We have chosen each other as adults to be a constant in this world. There is nothing that I wouldn't do for any of them. Because this is so unexpected, I considered doing crowd funding in order to assist with the mountain of hospital bills that we would need to take care of when he eventually walked out of the hospital. It's with a broken heart and tears in my eyes that I am now setting this up to help with medical expenses, plus funeral arrangements. My family and I don't know what to do or how to even begin to reconcile this loss. Our world will never be the same. My brother was such a bright spot in all of our lives. He gave everything he had to those who he loved, sometimes to a fault. He wasn't perfect but he was perfect to us. His family and friends meant everything to him and he will be missed so profoundly. This pain is immeasurable and the void he has left will always be felt. Please find it in your hearts to help us give him peace. To help us try to pick up the pieces of his too short life. This will help us with medical expenses, moving expenses for clearing out his apartment and storage, and to lay him to rest. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
