Rally for Raquel

We have created this fundraiser as a way for everyone to come together and support Raquel and her family after Raquel received a devastating cancer diagnosis. This is a journey that will require courage, strength and the support of those around them as they fight to beat cancer.

On Raquel's soccer team, The Stars, they always say that we are more than a team, we are family. So our hope is that with this - you can all be part of her team and her family. We count ourselves blessed to be able to know Raquel, a shining light of joy, laughter, and resilience. At just 12 years old, Raquel embodies the spirit of youth with her sweet demeanor, goofy humor, and incredibly big heart (one of the biggest around). She is always ready to join a party, create endless laughter and silliness with friends, and share a smile with those around her. Raquel has touched the lives of many - her teachers and coaches consistently praise her for the incredible person she is and the light and joy she brings to any room she is in.

Raquel’s passions are as vibrant as her personality. A dedicated soccer player, a lover of skincare, makeup, and crafts, she also shines as a gifted artist, especially in drawing. Science captivates her curious mind, fueling her dreams of one day becoming a dermatologist. Her smile, her charm, her amazing attitude - these are the qualities that win over anyone lucky enough to meet her.

Recently, Raquel’s life took a challenging turn. Diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, she has embarked on a journey that requires courage, strength, and an immense amount of support. Despite the hardships of chemotherapy treatments that began last week, Raquel’s spirit remains unbroken, her laughter just as infectious, her attitude just as positive - and of course still bugging her sister.

For the Turners, every person they meet becomes family. As Raquel faces this battle, it’s our time to come together as their extended family, offering our support, love, and encouragement. Chris and Rotem have made the decision to prioritize their Raquel's health and treatments, stepping away from work to be by her side. While crucial, this has introduced financial hardships that no family should have to face alone during such a difficult time.

The funds raised will directly support Raquel and her family in covering medical expenses and ensuring that financial stress does not add to their burdens.
