Help Steph Fight Breast Cancer

Hi all! My name is Sarah and I am fundraising for one of the most amazing women I know, Stephanie Kamienski. She is a loving wife to her husband David, and a doting mother to her two girls, Makenzie and Skylar. Steph has dedicated her life to her family and friends, and everyone who has met her knows her kindness.
I remember Stephanie mentioning that she had felt a lump in her breast around December 2021 and her doctors said it was “probably just a blocked milk duct from breast feeding” and “well you just had a baby so your hormones are not stabilized yet”. But Steph kept pushing for imaging and finally was able to get a mammogram done. After being notified that she would need further imaging and a biopsy, the severity of her concern went higher - but she remained strong and confident on the outside. Needless to say, it came as a shock to me when Stephanie told me on February 22nd, 2022 she had been diagnosed with Triple Negative Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. Since her diagnosis, Steph has been hit with some pretty tough medical situations. Prior to starting chemo treatments, Steph had a port placed which was severely irritated, red and inflamed.
Chemo treatment #1 of 4 - while the nurse was attempting to start treatment, Steph had a seizure resulting in pushing back treatment for another week. She then receives her first treatment and her entire family gets a stomach bug.
Chemo treatment #2 of 4 - treatment goes according to plan. Entire family gets a cold.
Chemo treatment #3 of 4 - By this treatment, Steph has lost the majority of her hair and has been dealing with severe mouth ulcers.
Unfortunately, between her third and fourth treatments, one of the ulcers got infected and ended up sending Stephanie to the hospital where she currently is today. Her labs were so poor that they decided she needed a blood transfusion and told her that she will probably need another one after her fourth treatment.
Stephanie had the ability to utilize her FMLA for her maternity leave. However, since it was within the last 365 days, she does not have any more FMLA to use. During this time, Stephanie had also just accepted a new job and was in the first week when she started her treatments!
I know that everyone that knows Steph wants to help her and the family in any way possible, this is why I started this fund for them. Many people ask her about meal trains and other ways of helping, but unfortunately because of her immune system she cannot risk eating any foods prepared outside of her own home. I thought this may be the best and most effective way for people to help!

Please consider donating funds to this beautiful little family. I know they would appreciate any help they could get! This fund will help with hospital/medical bills, time off (currently she has no FMLA or much time off due to taking maternity leave), food, and anything her beautiful family will need during this time.
