Our dear Choice in Aging MSSP social worker, Helga, has endured enormous personal tragedy this year and I am reaching out to ask your help in supporting her right now.  Earlier this year, Helga was diagnosed with cancer. She began treatment a few months ago and was in the midst of chemo when her neighborhood was evacuated and the fire swept through her area, taking her animals and her home.  Helga is without family and her home was uninsurable given its location.  


About Helga - she is the fiercest advocate you could ever meet, working with a deep passion for ensuring frail elders have the support they need to live independently.  She is a warrior - and right now, she is a wounded warrior.  Please join me in helping her piece her life back together, the way she has helped thousands of elders and people with disabilities throughout her career, live with dignity and independence.
