While on a mission trip in Caisan, Panama, a group of us were faced with the rampant material poverty in that area. There were countless families that have little to eat, children with distended bellies from malnutrition or intestinal worms and make shift shelters with dirt floors used as “homes”. Part of the reason there is so much poverty is the lack of quality education.

There is virtually nothing in the schools. The bookshelves are empty and although the teachers are greatly invested in the children, they struggle with the great lack of resources. One teacher we met broke down in tears and told us “I have been praying for help, these children have nothing.” It is hard to break the cycle of poverty without the tools to educate the children.

BUT there is hope. Within Caisan, a non-profit called Manos de Fe (Hands of Faith), run by amazing long term missionaries, is working to help the local community. They not only run an afterschool Boys and Girls Club program to meet the kids educational and spiritual needs, but they also work to support local schools.

Your generous donation will be used toward the education of the children in Caisan, to give them hope and help break the cycle of poverty through the efforts of both the Boys and Girls club after school program at Manos de Fe and at local schools.

Please help today! If you even just gave $4 and told 4 friends to donate and spread the word to 4 of their friends, we could make such a huge collective impact!

Every child deserves a chance.  #4ForKids
