4D Club: dinner, drinks, discussion, and donations

My goal is to have a bit of fun with friends while raising funds for Central Washington University's (CWU) students. The plan is to meet 3x per year for dinner, drinks, donations, and discussion (and networking, but that doesn't start with a "d") - and raise a bit of money to help CWU's students.

You might be wondering "Money for what?" The first dinner was held on 8/22/23, and we raised $1300 for the CWU Wildcat Pantry - a food bank for students. Our record for a dinner is a little over $2k. Future dinners will support different funds, all of which support CWU students. For a complete list of what we've done, scroll to the bottom.

Dinners are hosted at the Red Pickle. They've offered to donate a percentage of that night's profits. Thanks, Mario and Ale!

I'll get an email invite out to friends a week before each dinner.

2025/2026 dinners will be Tuesdays September 30, February 3, and May 26: 5:00 - 7:00 at the Red Pickle. The beneficiary of the September dinner will be the campus food pantry. Not sure about the others yet.

The mechanics: GoFundMe collects the funds and takes a small cut. GoFundMe sends me the donations, and then I write a check dedicated to whichever charity we're supporting at that time.

Keep in mind that you don't have to join us for dinner to donate, you can push the donate button at will! :)
