This weekend, Andrea found herself stranded in Virginia during a state of emergency after her car broke down. Given the White Supremacist terrorism going on in Charlottesville, Andrea's obvious priority was returning to NY safely.
Andrea relies heavily on her car for commuting to work and school, given the fact that she uses a wheelchair for mobility. After paying for a tow truck, car expenses, and additional unexpected nights in a hotel, she spent her tuition required for her last semester of nursing school.
Andrea is a fierce queer black disability rights advocate, and will make an incredible nurse. Let's come together and give what we can and share widely to invest in this extraordinary community leader.
