The Valley Fire changed our lives forever. We are Val and Veronica Rasmussen. We live near Harbin Hot Springs, which was burned to the ground during the fire. Prior to the fire we visited Harbin at least four days per week for the last ten years. That's over two thousand days!! During this time we were privileged to give over 5000 Watsu/Waterdance sessions together. We gave these sessions for free with no expectation or compensation. Our only intention was to offer an experience that can only be had in a warm water pool with two people holding the space, who only have one purpose, which is to give UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. The warm water is a magical healing medium. We were privileged to witness hundreds of transformational healings that were very emotional and life changing! What a blessing!
On my birthday, March 26th of 1998, I recieved my first Watsu session. In one hour my life was transformed forever, and in that moment I knew that my life would never be the same. In that hour I experienced what it means to be loved at a divine level. Where the illusions of the world of what we think "ought to be" are put aside for an hour. In that ONE HOUR, for the first time in my life, I experienced divine love which never changes, never varies and is always there when we choose it. I thank God every day for that session.
At the end of my session, from a woman who is now a very dear friend, I knew that my purpose, my Dharma, in life would be to share this divine experience with as many people as I can. My beloved partner, Veronica, understands and holds the divine space in the water for this experience, she is Kwan Yin in the water...the mother of compassion who knows only love.
The Valley Fire has created a pause in our path. So we are coming to you and our friends and asking them to contribute to a cause. A cause that will create and continue to hold the space for magic, healing and divine love.
We are creating a Watsu pool. The cost to do so is around $12,500. We would like to extend an invitation to all those that read this and are so inclined to contribute. For every $100 that you contribute you will receive a Watsu session once our pool is complete. But it doesn't stop there. Once you have experienced your session we will GIVE a session to a person of your choice so they too can experience the magic of Watsu.
