Support Nancy's Family in Crisis

Nancy Eaton is a wonderful, kind, and energetic teacher at Broadcasters Child Development Center (BCDC) in Tenleytown. She takes care of and teaches children ages 12 to 18 months in the Bunnies Two classroom. Ms. Nancy joined BCDC in 2024 and has already become an important part of the BCDC community, beloved by the children in her care. Ms. Nancy lives in DC with her husband, Lonnie, and they are parents to ten children. Their children attend DC schools including Meridian Public Charter School and Bell Multicultural High School. Their youngest child, Alonso, is seven years old.

On Mother's Day, Ms. Nancy and her family's world was turned upside down when Ms. Nancy's husband, Lonnie, suffered a serious head injury. Lonnie's traumatic injury may have caused brain damage, and he remains unable to communicate or breathe independently. His condition remains critical, and as of May 29, 2025, he has been in the intensive care unit at Washington Memorial Hospital for more than two and a half weeks.

Ms. Nancy and her family have asked for love and prayers. To help support this incredible teacher, Lonnie, and their children, we have arranged this fundraising platform. The purpose of the fundraising is to help provide support for the Eaton family while Lonnie undergoes serious medical attention and care. In addition to helping provide support for their home, food, and other bills, the family is without a car, and this fundraising will hopefully help ease some transportation costs associated with travel to and from the hospital. Additionally, Ms. Nancy faces significant medical and rehabilitation bills. This is the kind of catastrophic event that no insurance can help a family fully prepare for, ever.
